Roughly 90–95% of a typical Flutter app is shared Dart code; the remainder is platform-specific glue for things like push notifications, payments or camera access, reached through platform channels. The practical consequences matter more than the percentage: one team instead of two, every feature landing on Android and iOS in the same release, and no drift where the iPhone app quietly falls behind its Android sibling.
There are honest trade-offs. Flutter binaries start larger than lean native apps, and deep platform integrations — widgets on the home screen, watch companions, unusual Bluetooth work — still require real native code behind the channel. We write that Kotlin and Swift ourselves rather than bolting on half-working plugins, and we handle both store submissions, signing and release pipelines as part of every engagement.
React Native is the other serious cross-platform option, and we'd rather help you choose correctly than push our preference. React Native renders through actual platform components and lives in the JavaScript ecosystem — a real advantage if your team already writes React, and its library catalogue is enormous. Flutter asks you to learn Dart, which is a genuine (if small) hurdle, and repays it with pixel-identical rendering, first-party tooling and fewer surprises when OS versions change. Both are mature enough for production; the deciding factors are your existing team, how custom your design is, and who maintains the app after launch.
Fully native Kotlin or Swift remains the right answer for a smaller set of products: apps leaning hard on platform-specific hardware, games, or anything chasing bleeding-edge OS features the week they ship. Because we build native too, our recommendation isn't a hammer looking for nails — it's whatever gets your product shipped and maintainable.

If you're starting fresh and your app's design is custom and brand-driven, Flutter's rendering model gives you tighter control. Both are solid, well-supported frameworks — we'll assess your product and team honestly in a discovery call rather than defaulting to either.
Done properly, yes. Flutter ships Cupertino widgets that follow iOS conventions, renders at the device's full refresh rate, and respects platform behaviours like swipe-back navigation. Where an app needs deep iOS integration, we write the Swift layer natively and bridge it in — users can't tell the difference, and reviewers on the App Store don't either.
